Business Analyst

Responsibilities & Accountability

  • Gather and format client financial data for analysis
  • Track all information received and maintain records in appropriate data storage locations
  • Conduct site visits of client premises, schedule and conduct personal client interviews and all follow-up meetings as necessary to complete the required information gathering
  • Conduct industry research using internet and subscription-based services
  • Identify client competitors and complete a competitive intelligence analysis
  • Complete analysis within the framework of our ISO 9001-2015 registration
  • Complete a business valuation on each client file
  • Identify and make observations regarding opportunities for the client to improve and enhance the value of the business
  • Provide recommendations based on research and analysis findings for each client
  • Produce a professionally written final report, following an established template and in a format suitable for the client
  • Support the delivery of all findings in a formal client presentation, let by the Senior Analyst and Managing Director
  • Maintain up-to-date financial summaries and data storage logs throughout client relationship
  • Provide support to Managing Intermediary during negotiations, due diligence and deal closing deadlines
  • Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with respect to clients and their affairs

Skills and Qualifications

Selection of an individual for this position will be predicated on:

  • Post-secondary degree in a business discipline; (e.g. B. Comm., C.A., CGA, MBA, etc.)
  • Current recognized Business Valuation accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
  • M & A experience, completion of due diligence assignments or small business experience
  • Ability to work unsupervised and focus on detailed analysis for sustained periods of time
  • Appropriate keyboarding skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
