A strategic alliance typically involves two or more companies entering into a contractual relationship for some type of strategic co-operation, often with an exchange of minority interests, or one company taking a minority interest in the other. This is often desirable where one company does not want to sell control, or the other company does not wish to take the risk of acquiring a control stake. Sometimes, a strategic alliance is used as a stepping-stone to a later acquisition of control.
Once again, Robbinex assists with all aspects of strategic alliances, from strategic analysis, through to closing, including identification of alliance partners, negotiation of agreements and business valuations.
