Catherine Daugherty

Catherine Daugherty is a Managing Director at Robbinex and assists businesses in developing and implementing their transition strategies. Catherine has developed wide-ranging business development experience, having held various leadership roles at several independent schools in Ontario and British Columbia. A highlight of her early career was a business/marketing specialist with a major international bank where she worked with entrepreneurs and business owners to refine their corporate financial mission.

As a strategic leader, the most rewarding part of her work is identifying and addressing organizational issues that help a company thrive. As a strategic collaborator, she enjoys facilitating change, building capacity, driving results, and demonstrating impact. Her areas of responsibility have included the day-to-day operations of small independent schools with oversight in marketing and outreach, business development, finance, human resources, legal and governance matters, and the facilities management of a growing enterprise.

Her passion is to bring to life the compelling vision of organizations she is helping as they make the transition from founders to that next generation. Her work ethic, focus on both clients and key stakeholders, and overall project management skills have allowed her career to progress in ways that have genuinely enriched her life. Catherine credits her success and engagement to her unwavering commitment to prompt, personable service and her ability to be flexible to match the job at hand.

To support her work, Catherine has her MA in Leadership studies from the Lang School of Business and Economics, University of Guelph. This innovative program honed her skills in critical thinking, reflective thinking, complex organizational behaviours, and engaged leadership and sustainability.

When not serving clients, Catherine enjoys giving back to her community. She has sat on several non-profit management boards and continues to serve as a director for a non-profit entity in Toronto. For fun, she enjoys exploring cities and nature, and takes an active interest in environmental concerns and doing her part.
