John Michaluk
John has an extensive background in banking, broadcasting and sports
management. During his lengthy career with one of North America's leading
banks, he had widespread involvement with both personal and corporate
customers in a diversity of roles including senior management accountabilities
in corporate lending, marketing and training.
For over two decades, John was also a freelance broadcaster whose radio
and television roles included vast experience as a gameday analyst,
play-by-play announcer, and talk show host.
As a former professional athlete, John was a member of a national championship
team, served as President of the team's alumni association, and went
on to be the club's President and CEO. He was formerly a member of the
Canadian Football Hall of Fame selection committee.
Involved in the community, John is an active Rotarian, and a past president
of the Hamilton and District Chamber of Commerce. He is a former member
of the Regional Chairman's Task Force on Sustainable Development and
a past director of the Business Advisory Centre of Hamilton-Wentworth,
the Royal Botanical Gardens, Athletes Helping Athletes and Torham Packaging
Inc.
Currently, he and his associates at Michaluk and Company are involved
with clients in government and industry in both North America and the
Caribbean. The firm advises a small number of select organizations and
has expertise in custom crafting organizational performance, strengthening,
and renewal strategies and as well, provides individual and group mentoring.
Recent commitments have included assignments with a West Indies bank,
folding paperboard box manufacturer, graphic design house, television
production group, vehicle rental company, shirt manufacturer, not for
profit foundation, national wealth management organization, venture
capital firm, vinyl specialty manufacturer, and a leading financial
intermediary firm.
John is active as a seminar leader and keynote speaker, although his
main focus is long-term consulting. He assists organizations with the
formulation of winning strategies around customers, teams and processes
and aligns and unites their vision and strategic plans with operating
tactics. His integrated, hands on approach is aimed at enhancing leadership
and overall performance in today's ever increasingly competitive, global
marketplace.
