A Chartered Accountant, Larry gave up a partnership with a mid-sized firm in Montreal to go into industry. Larry joined a Toronto based public company and was soon transferred to Toronto to assume the role of CFO while, at the same time, taking on operational responsibility for its U.S. division. Larry then went on to become Co-Founder and CEO of a successful steel processing company.
Since then Larry has provided Transaction Support and Interim Executive Services, generally in a CFO or COO related role, to companies in many different industries and at all stages of the business cycle. Larry’s clients have included both public and private companies ranging from very large to very small and from highly profitable to being in great financial difficulty. The common factor was that these companies needed an experienced senior executive who could provide them with strong financial management, downfield vision, crisis management and innovative solutions to manage the project or transaction and to maximize shareholder value. Someone who could get things accomplished quickly and efficiently.
When not working as an Interim Executive, Larry has served on a number of not for profit boards including the Association for Corporate Growth, the Experion Group and the Association of Independent Consultants. Currently Larry is a Director and the Treasurer of Bayview Community Services.
