A business intermediary company celebrating its 25th anniversary says
its Stuart Street location in Hamilton's industrial north end brings
many business benefits.
"We can see the harbour, we can park right in front of our door
and we're in a historic building with tremendous ambience," said
company president, Doug Robbins, a Stoney Creek resident.
Robbinex is a consulting firm specializing in selling medium to large-sized
businesses.
"On top of that, our costs per square foot are extremely low compared
to office tower locations in the main downtown area of the city,"
said Mr. Robbins.
Despite its Hamilton headquarters, Robbinex has Canadian affiliate
offices in Windsor, Vancouver and Victoria and U.S. offices in New York,
Ohio and Michigan.
Robbinex Inc. was launched in 1974 as a general business brokerage,
representing both buyers and sellers.
Today, the company specializes in representing the sellers of privately-held
companies and has participated in the sale of more than 650 businesses.
It is the largest and longest-serving firm of its kind in Canada.
"We have clients all across Canada and into the United States,"
said Mr. Robbins. "Being located in Hamilton continues to make
sense for us, though, and we'd like to encourage others to keep or move
their businesses to the city.
