PHASE TWO BUYER LIAISON
PURPOSE: To facilitate the marketing and sale of
Robbinex clients’ businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY
Finds, researches, and qualifies prospective business buyers,
to develop and maintain the company database of “pre-qualified” potential
buyers for Robbinex clients’ businesses.

Fosters continuing buyer interest in Robbinex through web
site promotions, mailings, and personal contact (telephone calls,
email, and other correspondence).
- For each Robbinex listing, works with Business Intermediary
to perform the following:
- a) Develop criteria for ideal buyer, based on -
- i. input from the seller
- ii. input from research
- b) Create synergistic buyer list.
- c) Attract buyers using targeted mailings, web site promotions,
telephone campaigns, etc.

- Handles responses from interested buyers, as follows:
- a) Applies initial filters
- b) Conducts pre-qualification telephone interviews
c) Refers to Phase Three Intermediary
Participates with the Business Intermediaries in presenting Robbinex
Seven-Step Books© to Robbinex clients.
Maintains clear and accurate records of all interaction with prospective
buyers, in the company’s contact management computer files (Gold
Mine).
Interacts with active Phase Three clients in support of the efforts
of Robbinex Business Intermediaries. Records all contract fulfillment
activity in the company’s contact management computer files.
Assists Phase Three Business Intermediaries by conducting ongoing
buyer searches and qualification for each active file,
and preparing monthly activity reports used by the Intermediaries
to keep their clients currently informed of progress.
As a condition of employment, observes strict confidentiality with
respect to client affairs, revealing proprietary confidential information
only with prior expressed client consent, and executive approval.
As a condition of employment, strictly complies with the Robbinex
Quality Policy©, as supported by written departmental procedures
and responsibilities, and as specified in scheduled Performance Reviews,
and Quality System Management Reviews.
Effectively uses, controls, and accounts for Robbinex corporate promotional
materials supplied, including but not limited to audio-visual material,
corporate brochures and other literature, sales letters, newsletters,
article reprints, and promotional gifts.
This position reports to and receives direction from the Director
of Operations.
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
Performance is formally reviewed at appropriate intervals, and
measured against the following standards:
- Success rate of finding buyers for the businesses listed with
Robbinex.
- Timely fulfillment of Robbinex’s contractual obligations
to provide the Robbinex Seven-Step Book©, detailing
the proposed marketing plan to sell the client’s
business.
- Accuracy and integrity of the Robbinex buyer database,
contact management data, and client file records.
- Resourcefulness and effectiveness of contribution
to development of marketing plans.
- Timeliness of promotional mailings to prospective
buyers, and quality and quantity of response.
- Effective use of Robbinex resources, including
equipment, software, support staff, and resource
staff.
- Compliance with quality system requirements,
as determined by Quality System Audits, reported
on,
and responded
to in scheduled Management Reviews:
- Consistent demonstration of the skills
detailed below, in Selection Criteria.
- Professional and respectful personal
conduct in all dealings with clients,
employees, suppliers, and the
general public.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Selection of an individual for this position will be predicated
on:
- understanding of the business intermediary process, and the
concerns of our potential clients (relevant business
experience considered a highly-valued asset);
- excellent telephone communication skills, including empathetic
listening, presenting information, and recording
information
- highly developed personal computer skills and knowledge
of software currently in use at Robbinex
- levels of literacy, numeracy, analytical, and
problem-solving skills equal to those resulting
from successful completion
of secondary education (as compared with North
American educational
standards);
- professional and respectful personal presentation;
- willingness to abide by all Robbinex corporate
policies, including the Confidentiality Agreement,
and Quality Policy.
- willingness to work Robbinex business hours
of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday,
and to be
available from time to time outside
those hours
